Jason White is a simple young man of fourteen years old when events in his life place him into situations he never thought he would be in. Jason is a half Indian, half White who becomes the victim of a hate crime in his new school. His mother was taken from him before her time and now he has to live with his aging grandfather.
After he meets, who he believes is the love of his life, he finds out that he is not even who he thinks he is, but the result of a multi-generation breeding program started by an alien race from the other side of the universe! His forefathers were sent to this world to take part in a very specific breeding program to produce a targeted result. Jason discovers he is the one the aliens have been waiting for. After 1500 generations Jason White is the one who the fate of the world rests upon!

Rise of the Death Walkers The Circle of Heritage Saga Book 1 eBook Lawrence Nason Jr
Promise. Honor. Sacrifice. Duty. An unexpected calling to a higher purpose in life at the potential cost of all else you hold dear to your soul. And perhaps even your soul itself. Though far from being an average Joe, Jason White, the novel's central figure and narrative voice, is nonetheless easily related to. The boy we meet at the beginning of the novel is an Everyman. He is us. Abused, bullied, and growing up faster than a kid should have to, there is complete three-dimensionality to him. If he isn't us, then we surely know or knew someone like Jason. Lawrence Nason does not hook you with dazzling prose, or a heart-pounding action sequence, instead he draws you in with the humility of a vulnerable boy. Once hooked, we are taken on a ride that we could no better have predicted than Jason could have at the start of the novel. The text itself, in my copy of the first edition of the eBook, has some errors in the form of typos and punctuation errors; however, none of these is of a distracting nature... unless you are a English Lit professor with OCD.
Rise of the Death Walkers appears to be a promising start to great saga from a promising new writer. I am eagerly looking forward to Mr. Nason's next volume in the saga!
